In 2002 Medicom toy partnered with TOMY toys to produce the first series of Star Wars Kubrick Figures.

Medicom Toy named the Kubrick line after Stanley Kubrick, reworking the Clock Work Orange font for the toy line, it is said that the line also translates as Nine-Brick ( Kyu - Brick ) distinctions of the Nine parts to make one figure.
This line would later turn into Bearbrick, one of the design toy communities earliest prized possessions.
